We’re excited to share the news of an important award given to us for our Tango Extend Mobile UC solution.

The accolade also notes that our creative partnerships with mobile operators, a broad spectrum of resellers and leading UC providers represents other key aspects of our growth strategy and market approach.

“Tango Networks’ creativity and innovation also extend to the channels that bring its solutions to market,” said Elka Popova, VP of Connected Work Research at Frost & Sullivan.

“As a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) Tango Networks enables a broad range of service providers not possessing mobile capabilities of their own, including telecom operators, UCaaS providers, managed services providers (MSPs), and systems integrators, to deliver mobile solutions to business customers. This approach enables Tango Networks to launch services quickly in multiple geographies and vertical industries to tap into a large addressable market.”

Frost & Sullivan applies a rigorous analytical process to evaluate multiple nominees for each award category before determining the final award recipient. The process involves a detailed evaluation of best practices criteria across two dimensions for each nominated company.

The award and report indicates that our offerings excel in many of the criteria in the cloud-connected mobile UC space. These criteria include: Commitment to Innovation and Creativity; Commercialization Success and Application Diversity; Price/Performance Value; and Customer Purchase and Ownership Experiences.

A 2024 global Frost & Sullivan survey of information technologies (IT) decision makers showed 96% of surveyed organizations support hybrid work models and 93% expect to continue providing flexible work arrangements to their desk-based employees for the next three years.

To enable collaboration among distributed teams and support timely and effective employee interactions with customers, many organizations are adopting cloud telephony and unified communications as-a-service (UCaaS) solutions and are replacing desk phones with software-based calling and UC applications and/or mobile devices and services, Frost & Sullivan wrote in the report, including by empowering underserved workforce demographics, such as frontline and field workers.

Tango Networks wins Technology Leadership Award from Frost & SullivanIT decision makers in Frost & Sullivan’s survey reported that, on average, 48% of employees use mobile phones as primary communications devices today and 53% are likely to do so by 2027. In response to this trend, 95% of organizations will be providing mobile phones and 94% will be providing business mobile voice and data plans to some or all their employees by the end of 2026.

Tango Extend, our flagship business mobility solution, enables integration of mobile devices with leading PBX and UCaaS solutions to provide businesses with maximum flexibility and choice.

Extend is the industry’s first solution to offer a global business eSIM that can be easily installed in the spare slot in a BYOD smartphone to create “dual personas,” completely separating the identity and use of the personal and business numbers.

An employee on the go needing to make a business call does not need to open a separate app. They simply pull up their phone’s native dialer or just select a business contact. Your contacts are tagged as personal or business and the phone automatically chooses the right line to use for every call.

The business allocates the business number to the eSIM (often an existing landline number on the UCaaS system) and manages the policies for business calls and usage. Calls and SMS messages can even be recorded for records retention and communications monitoring compliance.

Tango Extend enables many cloud collaboration solutions, including Microsoft Teams, to be used natively on mobile phones. Existing landline Teams numbers can be used, without the need for apps or Mobile Device Management (MDM) control.  By using the dedicated high quality voice channels of modern mobile networks, Tango Extend provides far superior business-class calling experiences and UC features, such as Hold and Voicemail, through the native phone dialer.

To address customer diverse UC requirements, Tango Networks also is integrating its mobile services with leading cloud PBX and UCaaS platforms, including MS Teams, Cisco Webex Calling, NetSapiens, and various open-source telephony solutions.

Featuring the most advanced implementation of fixed mobile convergence technologies, Tango Extend supports many use cases for a distributed workforce including frontline workers and knowledge workers. Tango Extend is used for Mobile Unified Communications, mobile workforce communications, and programs for remote working, work from home, telecommuting and business continuity.
