We’re excited to spotlight our newest partner, Phone.com, as they bring their innovative ProSIM solution to market, powered by Tango Extend.
ProSIM delivers a true native mobile business line experience, combining the power of UCaaS features with the simplicity and reliability of the cellular voice network — all without the need for a second device or app.
We caught up with Ari Rabban, CEO of Phone.com, to learn more about their journey, why they chose Tango Networks, and what’s next.
Tell us a bit about your business and how it came to offer UC solutions and ProSIM.
Phone.com’s mission is to provide the most advanced, seamless communications and collaboration platform for small and medium businesses. We offer a comprehensive suite of UCaaS solutions that are easy to use and implement, including voice, video meetings, text messaging, faxing, and more. Our ProSIM solution brings all the benefits of an enterprise phone system to mobile devices.
What is the main customer segment you address? Why the need for mobile UC services?
Phone.com focuses on a unique segment of the UCaaS market.
Our customers are small and micro-businesses that depend on mobility. More than 60% of our users actively use our mobile apps despite the well-known industry challenges with OTT apps.
Mobile UC is vital for our many customers who are frontline workers – those operating in the field, such as home-health providers, real estate agents, builders and the like. These workers and business owners may not even have a desk, so their mobile device is their connection to the world.
Why did you choose to work with Tango Networks and the Tango Extend service?
We conducted an extensive evaluation of potential partners. Most UCaaS providers and mobility technologies focus on enabling large enterprises with hundreds of employees. Tango and Phone.com share the vision of bringing seamless mobility to businesses of every size. To serve this market, the solution must be inexpensive, easy to use, and consistently reliable under a wide variety of circumstances. Tango helped us meet those needs. We were also very impressed with the Tango team. They brought to the table great knowledge and experience, and we knew that the collaboration would yield a fabulous product. We can confidently say that the relationship will help us continue to evolve and meet future needs.
What key preparation steps have you taken to get ProSIM ready to launch?
Our engineering and product teams have put in significant effort to ensure that ProSIM offers our customers all the UCaaS features they have come to rely on. Prior to launch, we encouraged our team members and trusted customers to use the service and provide detailed feedback. This feedback helped us ensure a great experience and made us confident enough for a public launch
Tell us about the launch and what feedback you have had so far.
Initial feedback from our customers and the analyst community has been outstanding. A few examples:
“Businesses of all sizes will move toward SIM-based UCaaS as their providers enable it. ProSIM is ahead of the pack with a seamless approach to mobile business communications.” Dave Michaels – Founder, TalkingPointz
“No longer do mobile workers need to carry two devices, and they get better call quality via Tango’s cellular network with Phone.com’s full-featured UCaaS platform.” John Arnold – VoIP Industry Thought Leader
“For too long, business users of mobile devices have had to choose between the quality and convenience of making calls over the cellular voice network and the features and compliance capabilities that come with mobile UCaaS apps that rely on WiFi and data. Phone.com is changing that. ProSim by Phone.com leverages the dual SIM technology of modern mobile devices to add a true business line. Users get all of the business-grade features of the UCaaS solution, such as auto attendants, call recording, call analytics, and HIPAA compliance, while using the cellular voice network and native dialer to make calls and send text messages. This next step in business mobility offers the best of both worlds.” Elka Popova – Frost & Sullivan
How are your existing customers going to hear about and get Native Mobile business lines on their devices?
Our customers will learn about ProSIM through email marketing, in-app messaging, our sales team, and our support agents. In addition, we will promote ProSIM through our social media and paid advertising channels.
What expectations and plans do you have for the future?
We look forward to accelerated adoption as the North American market becomes more familiar with the benefits of dual SIM technology. The ability to enjoy all of the benefits of UCaaS over the cellular voice network with the native dialer is a game changer for the small business market and we are delighted to be leading the charge.
As Mobile-First strategies continue to reshape how businesses communicate, solutions like ProSIM are paving the way for simpler, smarter, and more scalable connectivity — especially for the small and micro-businesses that form the backbone of many industries.
At Tango Networks, we’re proud to support partners like Phone.com who share our commitment to making enterprise-grade mobility accessible to companies of every size. The launch of ProSIM marks an exciting step forward in that journey — and we’re just getting started.
