Mobile Unified Communications
Extend your enterprise UC platform to any mobile device with native integration
The Mobile UC Gap
Desk phones use a landline business number and are fully integrated into the enterprise UC system. Until now, there have been few solutions to provide employees working outside the office with similar services.
Almost all company-provided mobile phones are not integrated to the Enterprise UC platform. Unlike desk phones with landline numbers, calls to and from mobile numbers are not subject to corporate policies or controls.
Tango Extend bridges this gap by integrating mobile service directly with your UC platform.

What is Mobile UC?
Mobile Unified Communications — usually shortened to Mobile UC — is the practice of extending an enterprise UC platform onto mobile phones so that mobile workers get the same features, identity, and controls as desk-based employees. That means the business number, presence, call recording, voicemail, routing rules, and compliance policies all follow the user onto the mobile.
Most Mobile UC solutions to date have relied on softphone apps, which create a poor calling experience: an extra app to open, dependence on Wi-Fi or mobile data, and battery drain. As a result, adoption is low and users fall back to their personal number for business calls — defeating the purpose.
Tango Extend takes a different approach to Mobile UC: a dedicated business eSIM integrates the mobile directly with Microsoft Teams Phone, Cisco Webex Calling, or another UC platform. Calls run on the native dialer over the cellular voice channel, so there is nothing for the user to learn — and nothing for IT to support that depends on Wi-Fi quality.
